Gun regulation is one of the highest debate in the world today. Every country wants to control the rate at which its citizens own and use firearms. Regulation laws on arms and ammunition are intended to restricting individuals right to own firearms.

In the U.S gun regulation is taking a toll as one needs a proof to show that she/he has the right of owning a gun. Whether for defense purposes, it is important to have a legal documents before owning a gun in the U.S. This debate is far from reaching conclusion. This is because many have ague that restricting peoples right to own a gun, is also a way of putting restrictions on peoples liberty.

However, many have said that gun regulation in the U.S has help to save lives and also reduce crime. This is a clear evident that gun has a direct relation to crime. In contrast, many has the opinion that a reduction in the way people own guns will lead to safer communities.

The rate at which school children in the U.S own guns is alarming and gun regulation needs to take it’s place. Children go to school with guns for defense purposes as reported. But what if a student mistakenly shoots his/her friend? Many student in the U.S gave reasons why they are suppose to carry guns to school. This does not mean that gun regulation should not be placed on them.

Moreover, If students in the U.S are suppose to carry guns to school without any gun regulation as it is, it means teachers are also suppose to carry guns to school. People should stop saying teachers are not suppose to carry guns to school.

How on earth can a teacher in his/her right sense shoot a student with a gun? A teacher cannot do that. When the Government is placing restrictions on the rate at which teachers carry guns to school, they should also do gun regulations for students. The rate at which the younger generation carry guns is a call for concern and must be control. Must students even carry guns illegally and must be regulated.

On April 12, 2022 a man shot 8 people and injured 8 in Brooklyn New York. Report from the State officials say the man is yet to be identify. The police say they are investigating to know the reason for his action but they are not investigating it as a terrorist’s attack. It should be recall that this is not the first time this is happening. similar cases have been occurring in the past few years which has prompted gun regulation.

Unnecessary shooting and killing of people in the U.S is alarming and needs to be stop. This is one of the reasons why must people deem it important to bring inn gun regulation or control guns that are in circulation. If not controlled or regulated, the wrong people will own guns and use them for the wrong purpose. People should be mentally fine before owning a gun. Criminals should not be in possession of arms because they can use it to harm innocent people. That is why gun regulation is very important in the lives of the Americans.
